We found the Farmhouse in August of 2018…..

In August of 2018, we found the farmhouse of our dreams in the Portuguese village of Alvorninha, about an hour north of Lisbon. Our friends, Sergio and Lily, had invited us to visit their parents, who lived next door to the farmhouse. We had a big family dinner that night, and the conversation eventually turned to the farmhouse. Sergio's grandmother had lived there for many years, and it had been in the Silva family for generations. We were immediately drawn to the farmhouse's charm and history, as well as its proximity to Sergio's family. By the end of the night, we had agreed to buy it.
