• Please take off your shoes inside the house to help preserve our Moroccan rugs.

• While we have recently replaced all sewer lines and installed a new septic tank, occasional blockages can occur due to our rural location. Please be mindful of your toilet paper usage.

• Each bedroom is equipped with its own heating and cooling system, complete with a remote control.

• When leaving the farmhouse, kindly place all used towels in a pile in the enclosed sunroom facing the courtyard.

• You can dispose of garbage by walking to the community garbage bins located approximately 100 meters in either direction of the farmhouse.

• Recycling can be placed in the bins located under the stove. Alternatively, if you're feeling adventurous, there are numerous convenient Portuguese recycling spots nearby. Look out for blue, yellow, and green standing bins scattered throughout the villages, typically a few kilometers apart.

• There is a key located in the dark blue interior door that opens to the courtyard. Please leave the key there upon departure.

• The dishwasher offers a helpful and quick 30-minute cycle. Dishwashing pods can be found under the sink.

• The kitchen is stocked with appliances, including a Nespresso machine, toaster, juicer, and coffee grinder (located in the pantry).

• The washing machine is situated in the bathroom within the courtyard. Setting 5 provides a 30-minute wash cycle. You can hang your clothes on the provided line for drying.

• The tap water is safe for drinking, but if you prefer, you can purchase large bottles of water in town. We also have a Brita filter in the fridge if you need to filter water.

• Supermarkets can be found in Caldas da Rainha, which is only a 15-minute drive from the farmhouse.

• The amazing fruit and vegetable market in Caldas is open 364 days a year from 8:30 am to 2 pm. It is located in the old part of the city.

• The fish market in Caldas is open from Monday to Saturday. It is conveniently situated just a 2-minute walk from the fruit and vegetable market.

• The closest and most beautiful beach is Foz, which is a 20-minute drive from the farmhouse. Another favorite beach, Baleal, is located 30 minutes away by car.

• Buses to and from Caldas da Rainha depart from the village near the bank. Please note that they only run twice a day.

• For convenient regional bus service to Lisbon or Porto, it is recommended to use Rede Expressos, a reliable bus company operating in Caldas.

• There is a little café located downhill from the farmhouse in the village. It opens at 9 am and closes at 9 pm. It's a great place to walk to and enjoy a cup of coffee. Please note that they do not sell grocery items, and they only accept cash.

• An ATM is available in the village, located just past the café.
